My Morning routine

There's nothing better I love more than having chill in mornings!
So I start off by waking up at around 9:00 I'll have a quick shower and make sure I'm ready in time to watch the Jeremy Kyle show at 9:25! My fave!! I'll make some breakfast, probably some chocolate hoops or maybe wheetabix(if I'm feeling healthy) and a green tea on the side.
Then when Jeremy kyles finished I will go upstairs and clean my face thouroughyly with my clinique 3 step kit. Then I will probably get ready if I am going out.
If I'm staying in I will maybe write a blog post or watch some YouTube videos!
Thanks, eden x

How I got rid of my acne!

Due to my hundreds of visits to doctors and dermatologists through the years, you could say I am an expert on acne. I've had all the creams, medication, gels, washes and spent SO much money on trying to clear my skin but everything that was supposed to work, just left me dissapointed.
This blog post is going to be on how I eventually cleared up my acne.

DIET
Diet is a crucial part in your skin. I remember how doctors used to tell me that your diet had no effect on your skin but this is NOT TRUE! Nearly every time I'd eat some chocolate or a bug, greasy kebab my skin would come out in loads of spots the next day. It's best to keep fatty foods to a minimum if you are trying to clear up your skin. The best thing you could do is to have a healthy balanced diet, making sure you eat as many fruit and vegetables as you can as these play a crucial part in clearing up your skin.

DRINKING
DRINK WATER!! I'm sure everyone will tell you how drinking water will improve your skin but they're completely right! When I drink atleast 2 litres of water I will notice a huge difference in my skin, it also reduces the amount of tinkles you will have when you're older so theres a win-win for ya'. Also, drinking green tea reduces acne, I found that having a cup of green tea a day took the redness in my skin down and made me feel a lot healthier. I can also reccomend drinking honey and lemon in hot water as the acid in the lemon will reduce scarring. I'm not too sure what the honey does but I know it's a very brilliant natural resource on clearing acne. It also tastes brill!
Alcohol was a BIG no-no for me as even if I had the smallest amount I would be full of spots the next day which made me feel awful! This is as it increases your hormone levels causing you to break-out!

SKIN CARE ROUTINE
Once you find a good skincare routine that does not irritate your skin or make it worse- stick to it! If you use many different products it may cause your skin to react badly and possible make your acne worse. The skincare I use is the Clinique 3-step anti blemish kit, which I find works wonders for me. Also make sure you exfoliate once a week with a light exfoliate to remove any dead skin, make sure it's not too harsh as this may irritate your skin more.

MAKEUP
If you have acne, like me, you probabily want to shovel foundation all over your face to cover up your acne but I have actually found that less is more. The more foundation I tend to put on, the worse my skin will look, It probabily increases the size of my spots by about 50%. Try and use mineral foundations as these are less likely to worsen your acne and do not look heavy. I use bare minerals which is dermatologically tested and is brilliant at covering up acne.

DON'T STRESS!
When I stress I break out SO much! All I can say to this one is just try and stay chilled out as much as possible, light some candles, have a bubble bath- whatever calms you down when your stressed DO IT! Because remember the stress is having an impact on your skin.

CLEAN EVERYTHING
I can not state how important it is to clean anything that comes in contact with your skin which will come in contact with it again. Makeup brushes, pillow cases, your hands, flannels, EVERYTHING THAT TOUCHES YOUR FACE- CLEAN IT! Also try to touch your face as little as possible as the bacteria in your hands will get into your pores causing... yes you guessed it, MORE SPOTS.

P.s
I'm not saying that these tips will work for you also, but it's worth giving them a try. Remember your skin does not define who you are and it should not change you. No body is perfect and skin problems are just a little something that God has given you to stop you from being too beautiful

MIRICAL SKIN IN A MONTH?!?

If you did not know, I suffer from horrible breakouts, the kind of ones where I don't want to leave my house for weeks as I hate my skin!! I have tried everything and I mean EVERYTHING to try and get rid of my spots from drugstore products to doctors to medication but nothing seems to work!!
It was only a few months ago when my skin was at its worse, there was not a centimetre on my face that did not have a discusting spot on it (horrible, I know!) It was results day and my mum decided to take me out to treat me for doing so well As I was clearly upset about my skin we decided to go to the Clinique counter in selfridges where I spoke to the woman about my skin and she recommended this product- the 'anti-blemish solutions 3-step system basic 3 temps formula S.O.S' It is just a starter kit so it only lasts around a month, so I thought let's give it a go.
O.M.G
I am not going to lie when I say my skin literally had improved by the week after.
I was outstanded by the results! My skin felt the best it's probabily ever felt and reduced loads of redness! This is the best product I have ever used on my skin and I will DEFINETLY be purchasing this again!
THANKYOU CLINIQUE!!

WHAT BOYS DONT UNDERSTAND ABOUT MAKEUP

It was only recently when I was walking with my boyfriend in selfridges browsing the makeup aisles, when he said "why do girls spend so much money on makeup, it's just paint" okay... This rather annoyed me. Why do boys not understand how much confidence makeup can give someone?
Makeup to some girls is like a gift sent from God. A mirical.
Now no one actually needs makeup and everyone is beautiful in their own way. Although, many people may not be confident in the way they look. I know I could not walk to the shop without wearing makeup as I do not like the way I look without it, I have blemishes I want to cover, I want to have darker skin and my eyes without mascara on look 'bald'
Many girls, like me, believe they too only feel confident with makeup on, it's a shame really but not everyone is confident with the way they look and makeup is a way of building that confidence.
Another thing what boys might say is 'aw you look better without makeup', don't let anyone tell you how you look, the main thing is your own perspective of yourself, there's no point going out with no makeup on not feeling confident just because someone thinks 'you look better without it', coat your face in it if it makes you feel better about yourself, don't worry what other people think. All that matters is your confidence and what makes you feel better about yourself.
I hope now all the people who criticise makeup now understand why we wear it, obviously this blog does not apply to everyone but the moral is it is 'do what makes you feel better about yourself'
Thankyou, eden x

Estée Lauder double wear review

Today I will be reviewing my 'Estée Lauder double wear' foundation.
So after getting about 20 testers from selfridges and still being wary, I decided to buy the actual thing. Costing £30 it was quite pricey for a 60ml bottle, although as it is medium-full coverage, not a lot needs to be applied onto the face at a time.
Now, my skin type is very odd and confusing. It is very acne-prone and oily, although when I apply foundation my skin becomes dry and cakey, although still oily- wierd, I know. So therefore I need a foundation that is full coverage, oil free, yet light and quite duey, as this is close to impossible to find with being through hundreds of foundations, double wear is as close to these standards as possible, if not, better.
The foundation glides onto your skin perfectly, leaving your skin looking flawless with no imperfections visible. It is brilliant coverage also and covers up all my acne scarring and blemishes. As you can get a skin match for this foundation, I have FINALLY got one which is my exact skin tone. You do not need to apply a matte powder ontop of this foundation as it stays in place all day without getting oily, and I normally have VERY oily skin.

So yet again, another product if Estée Lauder that has not failed to let me down. Will DEFINETLY be purchasing this product again.

Mac bronzing powder

When someone mentions 'mac', I do not lie when I say my eyes literally light up. Their products have never ever failed to let me down and this bronzer is yet another marvelous product I have added to my makeup collection. I have been wary of purchasing this product as I have already got mac 'skin Finnish' in 'global glow' which I have been using as my bronzer. But after seeing my friends bronzer looking amazing,  she recommended mac bronzing powder which I recently bought.

The packaging
Yet another packaging by mac which looks so simple, yet gorgeous. The product comes in a small black box with the famous mac logo on the front and the name of the product. The back of the packaging includes the ingredients contained  within the product. The actual bronzer is in a small circular compact which, when opened, has a mirror on the inside above the bronzer.

The product
The actual bronzer is amazing. Much better than I expected it would be. The bronzer is very smooth, and applies to the skin very easily. I can normally not apply bronzer with cheep makeup brushes as it does not get on it easily, but this bronzer sticks to any brush straight away and glides onto my face beautifully. The product did  surprisingly not make me break out with any spots or blemishes which I was extremely happy with! The bronzer stayed on my  skin all day without getting "cakey" or "muddy". The only disadvantage with this product as it does make my skin look rather dry depending on the amount I put on, that's why small, reasonable amounts have to be used at a time.

Conclusion
Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. It is suitable for every skin type and skin tone. A perfect bronzer if you want to achieve a bronzed matte look.

Soap and glory review

Hello, as you know this is my first ever blog review. Today I will be reviewing some soap and glory products, enjoy!

Soap and glory: Sugar crush body wash
The Soap and Glory sugar crush body wash has to be one of my favourite smelling scents ever, it smells good enough to eat! It has a unusual smell to it which is quite tangy and sweet which is gorgeous and leaves you smelling fresh and delicious when you come out the shower. This product is at a reasonable price of £6.50, and can be purchased in 500ml bottles. My main problem with this product is that the smell does not linger on your body for any longer than a few hours, which is rather annoying as it smells so amazing. Although, I would Definitely recommend this product to anyone!

Soap and glory: Hand food
The soap and glory hand food is a hydrating hand cream which works wonders on dry hands. You can purchase this product in 125ml tubes and travel sized 50ml tubes. Applying a small pea-sized blob of the cream is all you need to hydrate both hands. It leaves your hands soft and smooth throughout the whole day. Although, the first half an hour or so of applying the cream leaves my hands feeling quiet greasy. Another fault with this product is unlike most soap and glory products, it does not have a scent, it just smells like a bog-standard moisturiser. I would definitely find the product more appealing if it smelt better.

Soap and glory: The righteous butter
The soap and glory righteous butter is a body butter for dry skin. I can't really complain about this product apart from the fact that i would probably find it more appealing if it had a stronger scent as the smell is quite bland and doesn't smell a lot. It is also quite pricey at over £10 for a 300ml tub. Apart from this, this is an amazing product. It leaves your body feeling smooth and hydrated for AGES. Considering it is only a 300ml tub, you only need to apply a small amount to the skin which means if lasts ages. It is also available in a 50ml travel sized tub.

Soap and glory: Butter yourself
The soap and glory butter yourself product is just like the righteous butter, apart from you get more for your money and it is cheeper and smells better. It can be purchased in a 500ml tub for around £10. It works miracles with dry/rough skin on your body and keeps it hydrated for ages. It has a nice-smelling, tangy scent to it which makes you smell nice as well as hydrating your skin. The only complaint I have with this product is you have to shake the bottle well and stir the lotion with the pump tube. This is because the lotion is quite thick and hardly comes out as it is too thick to travel through the pump, this was quite annoying for me. Although, I would recommend this product as it works wonders on the skin.

So that's my first ever blog review, I really hope you enjoyed it and it was helpful, comment for more ideas on what my next blog could be about, thanks!
